I have an older Chromed steel fork. It's lovely, but has some rust
pitting on the surface. What can I do to get it looking all nice
again? Any ideas?

Good: polish with fine steel wool to remove rust
Better: apply Naval Jelly and then steel wool
Best: have it re-chromed

Grant Peterson -- Rivendell -- sells some great chrome polish. I forget the
name but it really does the job.
One of the vintage cycle sites has a nice how-to on restoring chrome. Sorry
but I don't have the URL handy.
