The Nations 2nd largest and the Midwest's Largest bike swap is next
week!!!!!
We're one week away from the 15th annual Cronometro Bike Swap!
Saturday, January 14th, 2006 is the day for the largest bicycle swap
meet east of the Mississippi! The Alliant Energy Center here in
Madison will host hundreds of people buying, selling and just looking
at bikes, parts, clothing and accessories. As always, the benefits go
to the Brazen Dropouts Bicycle Racing Club. www.brazendropouts.org
Tables are still available to sellers at $45 each but the price goes up
to $60 on January 1st. Download a registration form now at
www.cronometro.com/swap and have it postmarked by Dec. 31st to beat the
increase!
1200 to 1300 people typically come to the Bike Swap regardless of the
weather. Saturday January 14th is also the day for cross country
skiing around the Capitol Square in downtown Madison. Over 100 dump
truck loads of snow will be delivered to the streets surrounding the
state capitol. Races will be held on the snow covered streets and will
include an Olympic qualifying race! Come join us. With both the Bike
Swap and the Capitol Square Sprints, this will be a great weekend to be
in Madison!
