Just wondering if anyone has had reason to call / try the RACV Bike
assist service?
(Expecting rants along the line of - "Real cyclist fix their own bikes"
;) )
We got it as part of our car coverage as we have 1 in a bike seat and
one generally on a tag-a-long and thought it might be worthwhile to have
rather than dealing with the little tackers while I fix any punctures etc.
Anyone tried it?

I used them a couple of weeks ago (just before expiry :) to come smash
my lock. They thought this a little irregular :), but still did it.

They come out in a normal RACV vehicle, so presumably they have a 26"
tube in there stashed somewhere in amongst all the junk. Wouldn't
expect them to fix anything interesting.

What an interesting day (in the chinese sense) mechanically, today
was.

I had my bike indoors at citybike, and I had gotten my pedals off it,
to put on the pedicab thingy. I bumped the chain onto the next gear,
but didn't bother turning the cranks to put it right again. But then
someone shifted my bike, evidentally by wheeling it backwards first.
Got down the block and realised shifting was up the wazoo. Bent
deraileur. Arse.

Then I clip in towards Uni, and put the foot down only to make a big
mess of myself. Darn. Clip in again. Fall out again. Bugger.
"Limp" all the way to Uni, and discover, yep, the worn cleat has
broken. Arse the second. Hope my PBK order comes through soon :)
Hope "1x cleat" means "1x pair of cleats" :)
