View Full Version : Two trials videos from ISUUC (or - how did he survive that fall?)

Us boys down at the Iowa State have some new random videos out. We took
a lot of footage in January because we got a new camera and UFP just
got the resulting videos edited together.

I present to you: Garage 2006 (8min/50meg/divx)
http://tinyurl.com/q5bvr
Featuring the amazing garage trials course - complete with car! It
also has two of the most painful looking falls I've seen - thankfully
the camera was rolling.

And Campus 2006 (10min/68meg/divx)
http://tinyurl.com/haj5h
Featuring the ISU campus being conquered by crazy trials people - and
occasionaly bled on.

They're pretty quick downloads, whatta ya think?

They should work in Divx unless the files got corrupted in the upload.
I just use the DIVX codec for windows media player. Divx player should
work, though.

all of us do both - some are still learning seat out, however, so their
only video worthy stuff is of seat in. There are also 6 guys using 4
unicycles, so that's a factor as well.

(there is tons of seat out in both vids)

haha, that last bail on the first vid, in slow motion got me laughing :D

You guys are doing ok but there's waaaay too many prehops in there, you
should be thinking about where you're gonna launch from and hop to that
spot in one jump (and then launch).

Yeah, that's an old GB4 frame, with a really long seat tube. In fact it
might be the first, I'm not sure.

those are some nice videos, and some impressive bails.
well done!
I think you need to work on doing less hops, though.

Great vid guys looks like you had fun making them and the garage trials
course is mad.
I know a few people have said this but im gonna say it anyway
Too many prehops i think you guys should work on stand stills it will
make your lines a lot smoother.

part of the reason there are so many prehops is that not all the
obstacles are super solid. when what you're on moves a little, you have
to hop a little to correct. but yes, in generally we all use waaaay too
many prehops.

the red one is a really old GB4 and george himself used to ride. Since
george is 6'6" and the curret owner (kai) is about 5'9" the seat is all
the way down. he's even cut that tube down a few inches. the red frame
is only an inch or two longer than the black frame i'm riding. jsut i'm
6'4" and have some seatpost showing.

thanks for all the comments.

Yea, some of those pallet stacks are like jumping on stiff mattresses.
:) We jacked up the car to take pressure of the shocks but it still
moves around a lot as well. Less pogoing is something we're all
working on, but with varying degrees of success.

One day I will clear the course with no prehops and a backflip each
time I jump... just not yet. (I don't want to show off)
