One. On a good day. Hopping, like many other aspects of unicycling, is
not my forte.

Hey, I've been wondering how many stairs people can rolling hop up. I've
done five, but it was slightly smaller than normal stairs. I've done
4's that are larger too.

Of course this poll is inaccurate.

Yeah me too, thats why I did this poll. I would've thought it was
obvious what my question means, especially if you look at the options
available, but it seems that not many people understand it or maybe
think I mean "and you can use as many hops as you like". Who here can
really jump up 7 stairs?

well it depends on the size on the stairs cuz a 6 stair might be able to
fit in my 3 stair.

Well yeah, but most stairs fit within sort of a common size range,
that's why it only counts if it's a normal size stair. I think it's
easy to tell if a stair is "normal" sized or not. And if it's not, big
deal, it's still a six stair, or whatever. Most of them are pretty
close, and I think people know better than to say they jumped X amount
of stairs that are 2 inches high.

It's not about looking impressive is it? It's about fun. :)

I thought you were referring to just bouncing up stairs. You should have
mentioned the whole 'in one hop' thing. I said seven but I realize this
is wrong in the context of the poll. you should be clearer next time
fwiw.

Five stairs is still a real push for me, can't get it everytime. Has
anyone actually done 6? I've heard of 5 and a half being done where the
bottom step is only really small.

I find stair jumping is great practice for rolling hops because its
easier for me to put full commitment into the jump so then when it
comes to hopping to the top of park benches or whatever I have the
technique more solid.

What about RIDING up stairs? Like in that moab video...of course those
steps were about half normalsize, buthe still rolled up almost the
entire set that looked like at least 15! He was on a 24" muni and just
barreled up the stairs in one go. Probably easier on a coker?

at Moab in one hop, and I don't think I could get 5 of those.
