the fellow who traded me my bike gave me some great petals and road shoes to
go along with them. these are the petals
http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=349 speedplay x/2 I think.
the pedals are in good shape and the shoes in excellent shape. the cleats have
some walking wear but no biggie. but I find the cleats tend to let go. Sometimes
while just normal peddling sometimes when there is stress and sometimes I don't
know why. they usually release with a inside twist of my foot. but they seem to
come loose and a little pivots of my foot sideways like when you roll your food
sideways and walk on it? they pop loose.
there is nothing to adjust on the cleats or pedals. I am thinking that the
steel spring metal has become a bit soft so they let go. but I wanted an opinion
before I spend 36.00 on new cleats.
