With the Epic coming up on 3 Sept, my mind is turning to getting some
dirty kays in the legs. Who's up for some training rides in Brisbane
Forest Park? How about Sunday 11 June, 6.30am, Gap Cycle Shop on
Waterworks Road. Ride from the Ennogera Dam up towards Nebo on Central
Road and fool about for around 3 hours. Any takers?

Hubba hubba - chilly this morning on the Lard-Arse ride!

Love to join you but will be in Grafton. Hoping to spend some quality
cycling time with Charlie while Steven is off racing.

Is it a fool around, or a serious ride? 'Cause I'm a fool seriously lacking
fitness.

Have you ever seen a 'fool around' lasting 3 hrs?

I'm never going to tear your legs off going up a hill, but Nebo might
tear them off! I'd be looking to do 40-50 kms and to feel like I'd
worked fairly hard. It's fire roads, not single track. It's a big up
with a big down and quite a few undulations in between, so it's not
like sitting on the couch. By all means come along, and if the group is
just not working together, it can split to suit.

OK, see you there! I'm canvassing a few others off-list and MonsterMan
might get along too.

I went out this morning with the Gap Cycles mob (7.00 am every
Saturday). This is a good ride with some coaching on obstacles and
single track, if anyone is interested. I had a bit of an off after a
log drop-off. A kid who was right up my jacksie ended up on top of me
and my bike. Fortunately no damage. Chuck Norris would have killed him
with a roundhouse kick to the head, but having studied Chuck's other
mannerisms, I just smiled wryly at the folly of youth.
