I got a newsletter from my daughter's primary
school yesterday. In it was a glowing report
about how the school had won two rounds of a
debating competition. The question being debated?
"Bicycles are better than cars for city transport".
The school teams had to debate for and against
it in the two rounds.

I have some other suggestions for topics:
"The pope is catholic"
"Bears **** in woods"
"Miranda Devine is a crank"
"Wearing a bicycle helmet makes you safer"

Hmm, perhaps that last one is asking for trouble.

Yes, lets not discuss that last one right now.

BTW - MD may indeed be completely bonkers, have a gander at another a.b
thread about Groningen. I still think it's a bored work experience kid..
