View Full Version : driving a corvette don't make you happy

This morning I was at a set of lights next to a chap in a late model
white corvette. For the next 10 mins, this guy proceeded to tear off
from traffic light to traffic light, going way over the speed limit
each time. He was not gaining any overall time on the commute due to
traffic conditions.

There is a little rat run that I take. It ends at a T-intersection
with the main drag again. Anyhow, I was at the T, and just up the road
to my left were police with radar guns. One takes aim then steps into
the middle of the road and signals to a driver to pull over. Driver
comes past (as I wait to enter main drag). ..... ....... .........
hahahahahah it is white corvette.

I pulled over and told young copper that I had watched this fool
accelerate and speed in between numerous sets of traffic lights from
the top of Camp Hill all the way to Coorparoo (where he got booked).
Coppers take my details and tell me they will probably book him for
dangerous driving anyway because when he pulled into their line of
sight he was losing the back end of his car due to putting all the
power down in the middle of the corner way doen the road (Tokyo Drift
style by the sound of it). Anyway, it was a nice start what will
surely be a suckful week at work.

On 2006-06-18, monsterman (aka Bruce)
was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

Monsterman, if you weren't in Brisbane, I'd owe you a beer.

Hmmm. If you can do a search on vehicle types you might have a look for
him :)

Hey Dutchy, what ended up happening to your post office pursuiters?
any news? What were they carrying in the boot? Are they meeting Bubba
for a night's dilation anytime soon?

I am a simple soul, with relatively little time on my hands. If the subject
on a.b isn't reasonably clear (eg: "Goat this Friday", the odds are pretty
good that I'll miss it. I only have so many hours in the day to keep tabs
on Usenet ...

I know a guy, in Brisbane, who drives a white corvette. Can't be too
many. He's a bald man with a moustache, name Hayward or something.
Familiar?
