View Full Version : TdF on Digital Satellite???

June 27th 06, 10:35 AM
Out of the plethora of channels available on european digital satellite
TV, can anyone suggest a decent TdF feed that is preferrably
unencrypted and has english commentary? I was watching Eurosport in
English on Turksat for the giro but er, ahem, that's no longer on....

Failing that are any UK freeview channels doing extensive stage
coverage?

Sorry if it's all been covered before :-)

All fail one of your requirements:
Eurosport International is FTA and in English, but analogue.
Eurosport.de is FTA and digital, but in German.
France TV and RTBFsat (maybe) are FTA and digital, but in French.
RAI is FTA and digital, but in Italian.
And so on.

The itv channels have coverage of some stages (weekends?).

From the itv website:

<http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=3097>

"ITV will have daily highlights from the 2006 Tour on ITV4, presented
by Gary Imlach with commentary from Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen,
expert analysis from former Tour de France rider and Olympic champion
Chris Boardman, and reports from Ned Boulting. Over each weekend, ITV3
will also carry live coverage in the afternoon."

Apparently CW has a complete list of tv schedules this week.
