Cold Fusion anyone?
Then how about this mess:

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities missed one opportunity after another
to avoid - or at least correct sooner - the sad mix-up between a
student killed in a van crash and a classmate who survived.

The classic example for me was when the MIA/Forensics lab for the US
military, in Hawaii, was shut down for faking IDs, failure to follow
procedure, and lousy lab work.

Just because a cop, DA, or lab says it doesn't mean it's true. Until
EVERYTHING has been taken through the system and examined with an
objective microscope we don't know **** about what IS.
In every case the system should be on trial just as much as the
accused. Assuming anything makes an Ass out of U and Me.
