View Full Version : Lance to bankroll his own TdF

December 10th 06, 11:44 AM
Screw the GT's, ProTour, UCI, and WADA. Lance is said to have decided
to sponsor his very own Tour de France for riders like Jan Ullrich,
Ivan Basso, Roberto Heras, Tyler Hamilton, David Millar, etc...

"We are getting sick of having the best riders forced to miss the Tour,
when all the fans really want is the best riders." said Armstrong in a
press release.

The mirror version of the Tour de France will take place on the very
same roads and days as the 'other' TdF, but a half hour ahead of them.
It is expected to get under way in 2007.

Who's gonna sponsor the Jerseys?

Like the EPO only category by Smith, Kline, Beecham, Glaxo

And best Young Druggie by Merks?

If you believe that you'll believe anything !

The roads are closed for hours before the "caravan" comes along and
that's about an hour in front of the race. Any unauthorised cyclists would be
stopped by the police very quickly.
