Hrrmmm, I've already got a decent mane. How about something more
useful, like eyes in the back of my head? (for scaring off magpies or
spotting errant drivers)

Try Bicycle Queensland. They have some reflective eye stickers to put on
the back of your helmet for that very porpoise. If they don't have any I
can send you some.

Might be very popular at the local skate park given the style of helmets
they wear.

I bought a pair in a haberdashery shop for my open-face motorcycle helmet.
They had three different sizes in stock.The pair I have are stick-on plastic
bubbles with loose eyeballs which can move around. My wife bought me a
sticker for my cycle helmet a long time ago, a rat on a bicycle.
