McQuaid lamented the resulting state of the ProTour given recent
events. "The ProTour system as it is today is completely bombed".
Eurosport asked McQuaid about the UCI's plans if teams are excluded from
the ProTour. "We'd start on a new system with the teams, organisers and
cyclists who wish to respect the regulations of the UCI. What is at
stake is the authority and the autonomy of the UCI."

YIKES! I'm glad my ability to earn a living isn't in the hands of Mr.
McQuaid. He certainly doesn't sound as though he's even thinking
rationally.

LIVEDRUNK would like to offer its hearty endorsement for a completely
bombed ProTour. We raise our glass to this idea! I suggest a minimum BAC
of .04 at the start line. Under-dosed competitors will be required to
imbibe a "stirrup cup" (not as dirty as it sounds) before starting.

I have no idea what you mean by this.

It's Millar time,

If LIVEDRUNK sponsors the new tour you'll finally get your wish of the
start line inside a beer tent at every race.

If that stake were driven through the heart of the UCI and McQuaid, the
world would be a better place.

My dream race already happened earlier this year, when the Burnaby
Velodrome, an indoor drome under an inflatable fabric roof, held a
six-day race and had a beer garden.

Effectively, the entire racing event took place inside a beer tent. HOw
awesome is that?

Gotta get to the Low Countries during Six Day season,

YIKES! - I wouldn't want to see the UCI dissolved because of McQuaids
blunderbuss diplomacy. I do believe McQuaid will have to be replaced
and should be, for the betterment of the sport.
