Wow I had no idea Kelly was that good at high jump. How high did he
get?

Awesome progress Tmoyer

I guess I'll give it a go if I get the chance. My best's about 69cm atm
I think. But I can't think of any decent ledges. I wonder how high our
old table is...

EDIT: Turns out our old wooden outdoor table is exactly 75cm... There
might just be enough room for a run up on the grass

39" is only 99cm isn't it? I thought the World Record got up to
something like 109cm ages ago

EDIT: I give in. Jumping from grass really takes it out of your hop.

Wasn't 120cm done officially by Fabian at unicon?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I won't make it either lol. I never practise high
jump, don't really see the point.

Lol. It's unicycling. Does it need a point?

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to rolling hop a picnic table in the
middle of a line and then trick off it?

YEah, it would, and I'm only about 5cm off picnic table height :P. But
I hardly seem to make any progress at highjump whether I practise or
not. I'd rather be practising flp tricks or somethign anyway.

Stair set is distance. But yeah, that's true. Handrails are the main
thing in street where you need to be able to jump high. But if you can
jump far enough you don't need to be able to jump high to grind a
handrail :P

Here is a video.

Nope I didn't land it. Just figured I might as well do something with
the footage anyway. I started off with a rolling hop. I KNOW I could
have gotten it that way, but my pedal was loosening up from setting up
and rolling backwards, and I didn't want to have to take my cam inside
and re-set it up after getting a wrench.

The video has a clip from each technique I tried. Rolling, SIF no
prehop, and SIF with prehop.

Anyway. I thought the video came out pretty neat and I hope it helps
motivate some others to go and and nail the 75cm. I will have it soon.

Cool video i really like the quality.I think you could get 75 easily

to gte the height

Well He had his pallets stacked on a double ledge thing. he had to
bring the tape measure out to measure it all in one.

I don't have enough pallets to get to 75cm without using the curb for
part of it. And the gutter at the base of the curb slopes, so I had to
use the level to measure properly down to the surface I was jumping
from. I can't get my camera any closer to the tape before it loses
focus. It's clearer when I look at the vid on my screen than it came out
on Youtube. That's why I included the still shot.
