Run the vehicle exhaust through the driving compartment to filter it
first. If it's not good enough to pass through there, why is it OK to
release it into the open air?

Or are cyclists to be forced to wear masks and breathing apparatus as
well as helmets because of the vile and antisocial behaviour of
indulged drivers?

Let the polluter pay.

The solution is obvious.

Cycle slowly so as not to breathe so rapidly.

Do not breathe at all on the roads, as that makes you a freeloading
sponger.

Motorists pay for the air, so they can do what they like with it. The
more VED they pay, the more they have a right to pollute.

It certainly is. Ban the cyclist scum from cities.
