journalists. What's the difference this time Lancey boy?

Needs to prove Landis lied, and needs to prove damage.
What suits for slander did LANCE quickly bring?

Sued in France over the Walsh book and lost, IIRC.
Sued in London against Walsh and or the Times, again IIRC. I don't
recall the exact outcome of that one anlthough he did get further
because of the UK's much lower standard of proof in libel cases.

Because Armstrong is a public figure he must reach a higher standard of
proop to prevail in a US court. He must prove that the defamatory
statement was made with actual malic meaning that Landis made a false
and defamatory statement either knowing it was false and defamatory or
with reckless disregard for the truth or falsity of the statement.
