Danielson

I remember when Tom Danielson came on the scene he was suppose to be
Lance 2.0, but it never seem to happen. He'd always seem to disappear
from the scene some how. Is he even in the tdf this year? And if he
is, shouldn't he start showing that potential everyone was talking about
at the end of the last century. I went to his tweet page, kind of
cryptic, as cryptic as his cycling.

at the lower levels anyone that stands out is identified as the next
big thing - the thing is they are in a small pond, once they leave
that small pond they might still be good, but they are among many
others with the same talent.

i can give you dozens, maybe hundreds of examples.

in the particular case of danielson - he is fragile. he might be fit
but it is almost inevitable that he will suffer some sort of
breakdown.
