Thanks for posting this. I find email headers a facinating study for
research. I think the email you have reproduce here may be a forgery.
Here's my logic. The originating IP is given as [209.85.212.175]. A
WHOIS search by IP reveals that IP address belongs to Google Inc. The
originating email address if from webtv.net. I do not recall that
webtv was bought out by Google. To the best of my recollection it
still belongs to Microsoft.

I would suggest that you transfer your email to a competent University
email server that can flag email forgeries.

Global warming is "just as lethal" as terrorism because it "has the
potential to kill everybody," Mayor Bloomberg said yesterday.

"This is just as important as stopping nuclear proliferation," he told
reporters after addressing an environmental conference at the United
Nations.

"This is just as important as stopping terrorism . . . This really is
just as lethal. It's just the results are something we will face long
term."

Bloomberg has been hammering hard on his environmental plank since
April, when his administration released an ambitious blueprint for
cutting the city's carbon emissions by 30 percent through 2030.

Yesterday, the mayor offered a frightening vision of the unimpeded
effects of climate change, arguing it has the same potential for
causing calamity as terrorism and nuclear weapons falling in the hands
of the wrong people.

"We should go after terrorists every place in the world, find them and
kill them," the mayor said.

"Weapons of mass destruction - if they get out of the hands of the
countries that have them and get into the hands of terrorists, the
potential is just mind-boggling . . . Global warming is a much longer-
term thing. But it has all the same potential of destroying the planet
we live on."

In his speech before the General Assembly, Bloomberg called for a
carbon tax in the United States and commitments by China and India to
"accept the burden of greatness" by setting energy-efficiency
standards.

He also announced that the city would immediately cut its use of
tropical hardwoods by 20 percent to help protect rainforests and that
it would look for long-term methods of eliminating them entirely.

Rainforest Relief, an advocacy group, estimates that New York City is
the largest consumer of hardwood in North America. The woods are used
for boardwalks, park benches, the Brooklyn Bridge walkway and other
construction projects.

The city's bill for hardwoods is estimated at $1 million.

"This is a big deal," said Tim Keating, the group's executive
director. "We've been working on this exact thing for 13 years."

T.Keating) designed to confuse the casual usenet reader.

Further more, he has posted (fake) confessions of drug abuse and other

My view point on the environment..

We have to abandon all fossil fuels pronto...
Nature had established a long term equilibrium with volcanic
emissions. Since the industrial revolution, humans have screwed that
equilibrium up by adding 200 to 300x to supply side of that equation.
Every day we delay increases the risk of massive uncontrolled
positive feedbacks and global biosphere eradication.

Personal efforts have reduced my carbon foot print by 2/3'rds.
Still have more to go, nd I'm trying to go carbon negative. (Minimize
my own footprint and then displace some of fellow citizens carbon foot
print.) .

I'm also anti-nuclear. Current corporate and government behavior
renders them incapable of operating nuclear reactors safely over the
long term. Many coverups, failed to collect stats, etc.. All it
takes is one idiot high level supervisor to make one misguided order
to cause a release and/or disaster.

Finally.. All nuclear power plants are primary targets should a real
war break out. Even the spent fuel rods can be turned into a nation
killing weapon.
