View Full Version : No wind ...

What a conrast ... almost absolutely still air, clear skies, still dark
when I set off but starlight from open skies is a good light .. ;)

Saw more people at 6am than I often do at 11am ... I guess we like
rising early. Lovely ride, loads of leaves getting swept up by the
wheels passing, crunching small twigs and blown down branches, lots of
mud where puddles are but, I guess due to the wind, very dry tracks too!

Saw a couple of barn owls, a fox and lots of rabbits. Don't usually see
rabbits much at this time of year, but see hundreds in spring on my
school field.

Lovely sunrise, still wispy mist over the canal and the sun rising
right at the end of it, casting colours and shadows and looking like
fire. I really should take a camera more often.

Nice ride. ;)

Lovely!!
I wish that here, in the roaring 40's of the antipodian hemisphere, we
could get a few hours of no wind :)

well yes! Even if I have to get out the sails and tacking-gear --

I will be thinking of you in the mother-country taking out the bicycle in
all weathers :)

Heh, git!

Had a nice one this morning .. frosty, slippery and the ruts from the
week previous were hard and unyielding, leading to some gnarly moments.

Thawed out by 8.30 though so rode back with it getting muddier by the
minute.

Can't wait to finish welding the Landrover so I can get out onto the
moors ... ;)
