Just when you thought you've heard every crash story from the Cat
IV's...

The second of two major earthquakes to rock Southern California, a
magnitude 6.5 on the Richter scale, struck at 8:04 am Pacific time,
which was just in time to catch the Cat IV Costa Mesa Grand Prix in
progress. The riders' general opinion was that they all felt like
they
got flats at the same time or that some invisible being just grabbed
their bikes and shook. About 20 riders went down in a chain-reation
crash as one rider near the middle of the group of some 100 riders
lost
control and crashed.

Sheesh. Now we HAVE seen everything.

It would be interesting to see how the pro peleton would have done in the same
situation, maybe there'll be a quake in this year's Vuelta...would lively the
race up a bit.
