View Full Version : Cyclist tosser in narrow street

Mr Pounder
April 9th 15, 03:16 PM
I was driving down a quite narrow one way street today, in front of me was a
cyclist. He was all over the road and it was obvious that he was
deliberately trying and succeeding in preventing me from passing him.
Behind me was a police car. I shoved my arm out of the window and pointed
over the car roof towards the ****** on the child's toy.
The policeman gave a quick blast of his siren and the ****** nearly fell of
his bike. He then pulled over.
In passing him I shouted "******" out of the passenger window. Looking in
the mirror it seemed that the policeman was having words with him.
Made my day did that.

Perhaps there was a reason for that. I do that sometimes when it is not safe
for a car to overtake but that all depends on the circumstances.

How fast was he going?
What was the speed limit on that road?
Were there cars parked along the left hand side of the road?

> In passing him I shouted "******" out of the passenger window.
Road manners at their best.

I've been held up behind defective youths purposely weaving all over the
road just to antagonise drivers, this sound more like that than someone
"taking the lane", which doesn't require weaving about - if you need
to weave to stop someone passing, then there's almost certainly room
for them to pass safely if you stop arsing around.

"taking the lane" is antagonising to drivers & shouldn't be allowed.
Cyclists should know their place.

The reason for it was to prevent me passing him. I have safely passed all
other cyclists in this street.
You admit that you have done the safe stunt, thus you are as big a ****** as
he is.

As slowly as he could without falling off.

What was the speed limit on that road?

20mph.

No.

Do you have a better name for this law breaker?

That isn't your decision to make. Typical arrogance of cyclists.

You're a police officer, then?

From what was said in the OP, the cyclisty was clearly travelling at
significantly less than the speed limit.

The implication is that he could have been overaten safely but for his
anti-social behaviour.

If you're in any doubt about that, please re-read the post. What is
included (all of it) and what is not mentioned is all significant.

Deliberatly provoking and aggravating other road users is never a good
idea, is it?

I actually agree with you on that (a first).
When I'm cycling along the narrow country roads around here, if I see or
hear car coming, I stop and pull over close to the edge of the road (no
footpaths) where necessary.

Few, if any females would stop laughing at you being a cyclist long
enough. And if you did find a female who did, your cycling causes you to
fire blanks anyway.

Q; What do you call a cyclists girlfriend?
A; Inflatable.
