"A cyclist rammed his girlfriend's bike from behind, after a drunken
argument, causing her to fall off."

Obviously a complete fabrication.

Cyclists don't have girlfriends.

Picture what would have happened in their cars, and to the surrounding people.

This is not true for all American individuals, and, on a more collective basis, it may be interesting political science to determine if the U.S. is really all that different than other countries on this matter.

Tocqueville never mentioned it in 1833 so it may be yet another post robber baron kink in American democracy.

Churchill descended from Americans so he has little room to whine anyway.

I'm not going to unravel from it but I can not really get away denying that this applies to me more than anyone else on the planet.

He couldn't have fallen off a car and broken his wrist.

He could do a lot more damage than that.

He could, but because drivers can be identified, apprehended & severely
punished for DD only 0.3% of drivers are convicted. So very, very few
motorists drink & drive.

Cyclists, being unregulated scum believe they are above the law.

When angry with your partner, common sense goes out the window.

If they are unregulated, ie no regulations apply to them, there is no
law for them to be above, surely?

The problem arises only if they are regulated scum, does it not?
