Mason's usual economy with the truth - it does *not* say that "the braking
distance for a bicycle is 10.4m" at that speed

It says it is the *minimum* stopping distance ie when your push bike is fitted
with a top of the range braking system.

This has been discussed a number of times in uk.rec.cycling and a keen cyclist
Nick Maclaren has given a much more accurate explanation and calculation.

But then he is honest: unlike Numb Nuts Mason.

Judith has a reputation for being disgusting — it might have something to
do with her sliminess and her unsavory dining habits — but she is
actually a valuable part of the ocean ecosystem, and that slime might
have practical applications.
