QUOTE:
"More than half (57%) of motorists act more aggressively driving a car than they do elsewhere, a survey suggests.

Of 2,005 adults questioned, 31% admitted to swearing at strangers while in their car, but only 12% do so face to face.

More than a quarter (26%) shout at others while driving, compared with just 12% doing that in person.

The study, commissioned by Churchill Car Insurance, also found a third of drivers (33%) have beeped their horn aggressively.

Some 11% said they had deliberately tailgated another vehicle.

The top 10 excuses for driving aggression include the belief the other person probably cannot hear them, and feeling protected inside their car, the report found."

Very close to 100% of London cyclists swear loudly at any pedestrian who
has the temerity to expect to cross the road at a zebra or pelicon
crossing as the cyclist approaches.

As for aggressive sounding the car horn, it really is about time that
car (and other vehicle horns) were simply banned instead of being a
requirement. They are rarely used for their intended purpose. In fact,
occasion for their lawful use is itself very rare.
