QUOTE:
A cyclist tried to escape a hammer-wielding gang by dumping his bike in the road and running to a nearby driveway where he was ambushed.

Two more people have now been arrested over the shocking attack in affluent Victoria Road West, Crosby, which happened close to a well-known duck pond, 12 days ago.

In total, six people have been detained including four boys, three aged 15 and one aged 16, from Blundellsands and Thornton, a 21-year-old and 51-year-old man, both also from Blundellsands.

They were quizzed on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to the 22-year-old.

Now, it has emerged that detectives have recovered "a number of hammers" from the scene.

According to TMS320, the victim won't have been a cyclist because he'll
have been a pedestrian at the time of the attack and the bike will have
had nothing to do with it.

Accordingly, are you sure you're on topic for uk.r.c.?

PS: Hope he gets well soon. Blundellsands has gone right down the nick,
hasn't it?

According to the article, this area of Liverpool is "affluent". Apart from the obvious non-sequitor, what does that say about the rough areas? :-/

Blundellsands is where Wicca began.

You have no way of knowing what I think unless I reply to a thread.

It doesn't say anything about four motorists attacking the person: "the
gang, who were in a small grey Volkswagen Golf-type car..." Which
clearly makes it driving related.

Au contraire. You have expressed such a view multiple times.

You are not arbitrarily inconsistent, are you?

....and so off-topic.

I'm glad we agree.
