It follows the collision involving a van and a male cyclist outside the former Purley Chase Golf Club in Ridge Lane just before 6am this morning (February 4).
The driver of the van stopped at the scene and gave the cyclist CPR until paramedics arrived.
Sadly, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
