hi

This may be a bit of a specialist question...

I am going to be commuting for 6 weeks soon and wish to take my bike
on the train. I have been assured by both midland mainline and
Leicester station that I will be able to take my bike on free of
charge.

Can any local person advise me as to the best route from Nottingham
train station to Nottingham City Hospital ?

thanks

Personal experience says that you will have no problem with your bike at
Leicester station (ask the freindly platform staff (and they are!) to
show you where the lifts are).
Nottingham station is AFAIR staffed by Central (rather than Midland
Mainline) and so you may notice a (negative) difference!

That is correct, but bear 2 points in mind.
1 Central Nottingham especially the area around Market Square has just
now an AMAZING amount of road works, due to laying tram track. You may well
have to get of and walk around these obstacles!
2 If you find other quieter roads, you may need to remember some of
them have tram tracks in them. As yet there are NO trams actually running
except for training the drivers.

Best wishes, Robin.

Thanks alot everyone. I think I'll give Nott station a ring a see how
different their attitude is to Leicester. I don't want to end up
getting stranded there !
