When was the last time you checked your blood pressure at the doctors...
i dont know if you were being sarcastic when you called yourself a fatty.
but how fat are you really. i assume not that fat because you are riding so
much.

I might also ask not lack of food. but what types of food have you eaten.
out of the normal day to day stuff that you eat without getting this effect
on your body.

how much water did you drink that day ? dehydration can hit you like that.
light headedness dizzyness. even neaseas. have a look..try some self
diagnosis. analysis..im only generalising im only 20 years old and never
passed a year of high school..
but dont rule these symptoms out. could be dangerous to your health long
term, could be something major. or something not so major like the above
mentioned. good luck

Hippy

I'll second Mitch - visit the doctor ASAP,

I was a very keen Audax rider building up to attempt the Paris-Brest in 99.
In late 98 I completed a solo 400Km ride in 26 hours on $500 Giant hybrid
Early 99 I did the 200K Alpine classic, on an MTB.
I weighed 100kg, (182cm) the lightest I had been for 10 years. and was the
fittest I could ever rememember being.

By mid 99 though riding a better custom-fitted road bike, I started to find
myself dropping of the back of the peloton on a 300K Audax ride in the

Strathbogies. Not quite light headed but definately no energy despite eating
& drinking properly.
I never consulted my doctor about the lack of energy I just assumed
wasn't training properly because of winter and it would pick up in spring.

I started filing to complete more & more winter Audax rides.

By Cup Day 99 I was in hospital following a severe angina attack.

Before the year was out, I had an angiogram showing 3 blockages of 80% 60%
and 40% to arteries around my heart and was admitted for heart surgery.

This mightn't be you but PLEASE go to your health provider and explain all
your symptoms.

Best of health,
Pete

Don't go by BMI. That is absurd, since the weight recommendations are
linear with respect to height.

Fat arse!

Regards,

Tim (193cm, 108kg, >10% body fat, borderline overweight/obese)

From nih,gov:

BMI is a reliable indicator of total body fat, which is related to the risk
of disease and death. The score is valid for both men and women but it does
have some limits. The limits are:

a.. It may overestimate body fat in athletes and others who have a
muscular build.
b.. It may underestimate body fat in older persons and others who have
lost muscle mass.

I visited the doc and he said it was probably hypoglyceamia (sp?)
due to eating too much high-sugar foods beforehand and then
suffering a sugar "crash".
I'm going to get some blood tests done anyway.

Don't go cold-turkey; just cut back or ration yourself a bit. It's
easier than you might think if you don't try to eliminate them entirely
all at once.

You're supposed to freeze 'em and make banana bread or muffins.
Over-ripe bananas work better in these recipes than merely ripe bananas.
