NEW YORK (AP) - By all rights, Svetlana Kuznetsova should have been a
cycling star: Her brother and parents all won or coached others to Olympic
medals and world titles in that sport. Kuznetsova gave that a shot, hated
it, and moved on to tennis.

-------------------------------------

Her father is Alexander Kusnetsov, famous coach of the USSR track team, the
Locosphinx cycling team, and many Olympic and World Champions such as
Ekimov.

Her mother is Galina Tsareva, former world sprint champion

Her brother is Nicolai Kusnetsov, '96 silver medal team pursuit

My daughter will probably develop a hatred of cycling too, just to ****

After Kuznetsova received her one million dollar check for winning at the US
Open I would agree she made a wise choice to switch to tennis. How much does
the winner of an ATRA meet get?

Davey slaps his head.

The penny finally dropped.

Cycling's all about Money

And there was Davey, racing most of the time for nothing for almost 60 years

What a stupid effin' LOSER

If a young athlete can fulfill their passion in a sport other then cycling and
can reap the compensation commensurate with their abilities, which as a norm is
NOT the case in cycling, I would say go for it.

Racing for over 40 years. Intrinsically very rewarding, extrinsically is
another story.

Everyone hates the dentist in a strange appreciative way.

Now THAT is a bad combination.

My dentist always waits until the needle is ready, then asks if I have
any extra Duke-Maryland basketball tickets. My son always wonders why
he hasn't seen a Duke-Maryland game yet.
