They are referenced by Frommers.com here:

But their website is decidedly attrocious :).

Are they for real? Would Frommers list something unreliable?

I am looking for answers before I commit to going with them.

I don't know about that cycling group.
I do know about this group: http://www.bikechina.com and took a trip
with them in January 2003, and have documented the trip here:
