Hello!

Is there much difference between the PC-99 and the PC-89r?

On the website it states the 99 is for mountain bike, 89 for road. In
Shimano 9 speed the same chain is used for both?

Just wondering what it is about the chain to make it suitable for one
purpose?

Paul

_ The 89 is skinnier and fractionally lighter.

_ Reputable people suggest that anything more than an PC-59 is a
waste of money for 9sp chains. I've certainly been very happy
with PC-59 chains for both road and mountain use. Chains need to
be replaced nearly as often as brake pads and tires.
