For Tour riders eliminated on time, what's the "H" stand for in

Hors, same as in "hors catégorie" climbs.

Hors loosely translates to:
"beyond" or "out of"

Haute, pronounced "ho".

When riders would struggle in late at the end of the stage in the Alps,
visiting Swiss spectators would shout at them: "Haute Delais de haute
delais de haute delais de haute."
