Sheaaahhh... Petacchi was probably paid more to LOSE than Ullrich was paid
to win.

Bang on Tony. Ullrich is the uber-sprinter of his generation. He just
chooses not to during the flatter stages of the Tour to let the career
sprinters have a chance. He coulda won the Tour on time bonuses, but that's
not the real man's way to beat LANCE.

LANCE is clearly superior against the likes of Bernhard Eisel and Rene
Haselbacher, but against a pure fast twitch rider like Ullrich, he has to
take second place.

In Stiphout, Ullrich won the sprint by 12 seconds. I mean, is that a hell of
a jump or what???!?
