Cyclists out there might like to know about New Forest opentop bus, trailer
on the back, for pushbikes.

Starts this Saturday.

It leaves Eastleigh every day at 9.45, back around 7. Get off where you
like, ride around the Forest a bit, get back on same place or somwhere else,
up to you.

See
http://www.solentblueline.com/timetables/sbltt/ot.htm

Best bit for you is, I've got some discount vouchers to dish out to all and
sundry - they're free, and give you a discount price of £5 for *any* of the
bus tickets, including a family ticket, 2 ad, 3 chn, day out, all with
bikes, for a fiver!! Let me know if you want any of these vouchers, email
address is valid, and I'll arrange some for you.

Tell your cycling mates as well!!

Regards

Ian.

Is that for people without Bromptons? (Did I mention my new
Brompton?)

Does anybody know if there is a comprehensive listing of such bus/bike
routes anywhere? Either electronic or otherwise..

The CTC has one, downloadable off its website, if you are a member -
Sheet INF12.

Unfortunately its not as up-to-date as it could be.

You could use it as well. It would save you having to fold and unfold the
Brommy.

ps. Do they make a West Brompton?

Just remember not to re-fold a folded JPEG. You lose bits that way.

I hope Guy's new Brompton unfolds-folds-unfolds losslessly.

Saw this Friday morning, before heading to Kite Festival at Middle
Wallop, biked down to Lymington on Sunday and got the bus back to
Lyndhurst.
Driver Ian was very helpful and I would recommend this trip to others,
take a coat, open top buses can be cold
