The tires on my town bike are about a year and a half old, with about 1500
miles. I went for a ride Monday, and it's very hot here. Air temp of 95, so
the asphault temp must be 110+. I rode for 45 minutes then parked the bike
in an air-conditioned building with tile floors. When I retrieved the bike
for the return trip, the rear tire was flat. I changed tubes and when I
re-inflated I noticed the rear tire appears to be warped. It's as if the
tire is out of true horizontally, with several lumps in the sidewall. Is it
possible the heat and rapid chilling warped the tire? They are Maxxis tires
that came with the bike---I have Conti Top Tourings on order. :-)
