Some in the EU have suggested packing semi-autonomous vehicles together on freeways. These cars can brake faster [draft closer] than humans to get much greater fuel efficiency. Musk suggested the "hyperloop" but even a 15 m vacuum tube like those used to cool lettuce -- about the same size as a hyperloop tube -- is expensive. Vacuum tubes are so expensive they are hauled all over the West depending on which area is harvesting lettuce. It's cheaper than building more tubes.
