The poor driver must have been traumatised. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/cars/news...vertible-audi/ It's fair enough to remnind people (gently) that they have (inadvertently, obviously) dropped something and no doubt helpful to have already recovered it for them. That's when it's genuine, of course. It can also be seen as provocative and sensible people would urge caution and circumspection in such cases. But it was obviously OK here, because the cyclist was male and the driver was female, which accords with much observed and reported directly aggressive cyclist behaviour in the UK too). But where are the vigilantes when you need them? A couple of years ago I was on the A12 heading for a friend's house in Basildon, and had a slip of paper with his address and telephone number written on it, placed on the (relatively flat) dash of my car. I opened the window to get some fresh air and was annoyed to see the paper go sailing out of the window behind me. It was a pig of a job to ring around mutual friends on arrival before I could be reminded of the t/n and the street number. If only a helpful cyclist had been available to save the day. |
