I've had many instance myself when cycling, from cars just pulling out
of side roads and obviously totally oblivious to my presence.

I used to have a bicycle when I was a kid, then I grew up.

Maybe if you got a job you could get a bicycle as and when (or if) you become an adult.

My hearing is very acute. So is my sight (properly corrected). But I
still couldn't see a cyclist in conditions of darkness, half a mile
away, without good lighting and something for the light to reflect off
and preferably something immediately identifiable as a cyclist.

I still recommend that you attend an eye test. I myself have been
driving vehicles on the roads for over 55 years and never had an
