Rim for mountain bike for disk brakes

I have a 26 inch MTB.

I am thinking of converting the rear to disk brakes.

Thanks.

While investigating, the tire blew up.

I have V-brakes and quite frankly, it is a pain to adjust them when they wear down.

It looks the same for other brake styles.

Can not someone come up with a better system?

Like adjust a nut to...

Better brake life

I am frequently having to adjust my brakes because of brake pad wear.

I do not have to do major braking.

Are there other brake pads that wear longer that do not cost big bucks?

Thanks,
