There couldn't possibly be anything more stupid than high speed trains. While they are OK in Europe, that is a MUCH smaller place considering that travel is normally only between neighboring cities most of which do not have the real estate to build airports for jets.

In California travel between Sacramento and Los Angeles is twice as fast and half the cost on commercial aircraft than it would be on a government owned high speed rail. Democrats have been running the state since Reagan and the place is now so run down that even government buildings have things like power and heating failures. Schools often are reduced to portables and any funding for school improvements are seized by teacher's unions. The lowest wage of an Oakland teacher is the hourly equivalent for a normal worker of $28/hr. Plus they have massive amounts of holidays and three months of PTO. They just struck for a 20% increase. Democrat politics in action..

Kids cannot ride a bike to school because traffic is so bad and bike theft at schools is endemic. What this country needs is another half million or more illegals this month. Just ask any Democrat Congress-person.
