This is the moment a would-be thief was tackled by a group of

poppies over the weekend.

Well done, those bikers.
But were any of the [motor-]bikers riding bicycles?
Or was the criminal riding one?
Yes, that latter must be the answer. After all, otherwise, the
story would not be relevant in uk.r.c, would it?

The term 'bikers' refers to motorcyclists or cyclists.

In everyday terms? Really? Not so much, I suggest. The usual words
for a cyclist are "cyclist" or one of a number of others which I will
not usually repeat.
Do you say that the bikers mentioned in the report were cyclists on
push bikes?

Did they mention that the bikers mentioned were on motorbikes?

My question was asked first, old chap: do *you* say that the bikers
mentioned in the report were cyclists on push bikes?

Be clear.

There may be a supplementary question or two.

Sorry, I should have added a question or two straightaway:

(a) What do you think the "M" in "Oxleathers M.C.C." stands for?

(b) Is this [picture link below] a fancy new kind of push-bike?
