So you are saying that the motorist delibratly drove on the pavement?

No I am saying that not even pavements, forget about public roads,
are safe from motorists. There are even cases where motorists have
rammed through the walls of homes and put the people inside at risk.
If you can't be safe in your own home from motorists where can you
be safe?
