The above tells me its a seat. I am confus-ed!

The picture at the top of the page is captioned:
"The classic Brooks B17 leather saddle; click image for more on Brooks
saddles."

A bicycle saddle doesn't automatically become a seat because it's made
of the same materials as toilet seats.

Sheldon Brown's glossary says:

I would allow that modern usage permits defining a saddle as the seat
of a bicycle or motorcycle or similar vehicle. Saddle connotes an
activity like riding astride a mount. Seat is more like lawn
furniture.

For a comfortable seat, fly Lufthansa or KLM.
