Not even in the lifetime of your children (if any).

Technology just isn't reliable enough for the risk of aberrant
"emergency braking" in the overtaking lane of the M1 to be risked.


I agree.
The most important mechanical components are the nut behind the steering
wheel and the spoke on the bicycle seat. If these components are well
maintained and functioning well and within tolerances then there would be
very few mishaps.
