That’s got to look just wrong if you approach it from the other side.


Also note the density of the traffic. Certainly they were going to
photograph this when traffic was not heavy but still, three cars
parked on the street in one photo and four in another? Contrast that
with any U.S. (or probably any European) city.


That proves that the pavement art works. The traffic must have been
quite heavy in the past to justify the cost of a professionally
painted 3D pavement art obstacle. After installation, it would appear
that the traffic was greatly reduced as drivers avoid the area rather
than ramming the crosswalk.


You don't think that it has anything to do with the population of the
entire country amounting to only 340,000 people? A bit smaller than
Anaheim.
