How would that be a better outcome than anything a court could impose?
The fine (if any) would be negligible (to the Duke at least). The real
punishment would be a licence endorsement and/or a disqualification,
neither of which has the slightest effect in cases where one is prepared
to voluntarily surrender one's driving licence.
