To be fair it looks suspiciously like they were known to each other
before the incident and presumably the driver only pulls out because he
suspects he might be in danger.

All in all the reporting appears to be a bit ****.

If Doug was here he would have said that the cyclist was first attacked with a "car weapon" and was only defending himself with his tyre lever.
