Default New KH Hub, defective??

Personally, I think the easiest or most accurate way to check this on a
built wheel, is to remove ONE crank and BOTH pedals... .Now put the
(removed crank) back on the hub, opposite the other crank; the two
holes of the cranks should be in line. Now take a long peg/pole/bar/rod
(preferably the same size as the holes, and stick it through both holes
(as a result also through the spokes); now turn your wheel until the
peg/pole/bar/rod gets stuck against the fork/tubes; the
peg/pole/bar/rod should hit the fork on both sides simultaneously;
otherwise the cranks are misaligned....
I've tested it with my double-hole KH cranks (KH 24 is 3 weeks old!!!);
same problem over here. I'm pretty sure it's caused by the HUB as I've
just received BRAND NEW Cranks (ordered and received after the reported
problems) and the misalignment remains...

It should be not so difficult to tell if the cranks are miss-aligned
even in case of a built wheel!
1. Find two flat topped chairs of the same height
2. Remove the wheel-set from the frame
3. Remove on of the cranks and put it in line with the other
4. Place the chairs one next to the other on a flat surface leaving a
gap between them...place the wheel on the cranks in between the chairs
5. Take a conclusion...

I have all 3 KHs with Moment hubs. After seeing this thread I was
curious to check mine. Right from the first attentive glances I found
out the same problem on my KH20 and KH24 On my KH29 I have the
double-hole cranks but not checked 'em yet. For me now only eye
inspecting is enough to tell...

I never noticed this issue until now...and can tell that it should not
affect riding at all. However it's sad this problem survived to this
extent! Lately, I'm not surprised such things happen...

It's not the designer's fault but the manufacturer's...they have to
grow up!
