Very dumb it would seem.
Cyclists complain about being vulnerable and other road users not showing
proper consideration, but here's one cyclist who managed to get hit by a
vehicle travelling on a completely different road and suffered the
ultimate price.

"Train kills cyclist on crossing
A cyclist died when he was hit by a train on a level crossing in
Shropshire.
Ambulance crews were called to the crossing in Eyton Lane in Baschurch on
Friday evening where they found the man suffering severe injuries.
A spokesman said there was nothing crews could do and the cyclist was
pronounced dead at the scene.
He added the train had stopped further up the line after the accident and
no-one else had been injured. "
As dumb as all those other road users (aka drivers) who fail to stop at a
level crossing.
